Cooking to travel back in time
Our wooden engraved recipe boxes
We have designed wooden engraved recipe boxes inspired by Gallic feasts, medieval banquets, or popular French cuisine from the 1930s — to rediscover the diversity and richness of cauldron cooking.
These recipes are the result of reconstitution work based on available archaeological and historical knowledge, in order to get as close as possible to the eating habits of the three mentioned periods, as history and science reveal them today.

Our Gallic spice blend
We have also recreated a spice blend: Le Souffle de Cernunnos.
This blend was specially designed, in collaboration with the Herboristerie du Vieux Nice, to adapt to cauldron cooking — that is, preparations simmered over a wood fire.
Our Gallic spice blend consists of seeds, plants, flowers, and berries historically present in Gaul before Romanization.
The chosen species are attested by paleobotany and by the current natural distribution of indigenous European taxa.

An ethical and local partnership
🇫🇷 We make it a point of honor to collaborate with local partners who share our commitment to quality and our attachment to human values.
Among them, l'herboristerie du vieux Nice, recognized for the quality and diversity of its plants, and l'imprimerie Robert, founded in 1893, which supports us with rigor and kindness in the creation of our visuals and the adjustment of our layouts.
